Electronic engine control

(EEC)
[1] The engine management system which controls the ignition system and various other systems, including the exhaust gas recirculation and air-injection systems.
[2] Ford's computerized engine control system. There are four versions: EEC-I controls engine timing. EEC-II controls engine timing and fuel (on engines with an FBC system). EEC-III-FBC is a refined version of EEC-II. EEC-III-CFI controls engine timing and fuel (on engine with an EFI system). EEC-IV is a refined version of the EEC-III system
