About Rinspeed

Rinspeed is a Swiss automobile manufacturer and tuning designer. Rinspeed specialise in restoring classic cars, and tuning and modifying modern cars (like Porsches and Subarus). They also design exotic concept vehicles for the Geneva Motor Show each year.

Rinspeed was founded in 1979 by Frank Rinderknecht.

Concept Cars

Splash

The Rinspeed Splash is a concept amphibian vehicle with hydrofoil design capable of 45 knots on water or nearly 200 km/h on land. Propelled by a 750 cc two cylinder turbo-charged engine burning natural gas which supplies 140hp at 7000rpm and weighing just 825kg, this strange looking vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.9 seconds. It premiered at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show, but is not planned for production.

Bedouin

The Bedouin is a sporty concept 4x4 shooting brake based on the Porsche 911, and using a plastic body with a natural gas engine. Its interior is full of Swarovski crystals.

Modified / Tuned Cars

  • In 2005, Rinspeed modified a Subaru Forester to make it appear more feminine - Forester Lady 2006
  • In 2007, Rinspeed offers a modified 997 911 Turbo that has been transformed into a Le Mans 600.

Car Insurance FAQs #3

Why is the insurance company not returning all of my premium after the policy was canceled?

Depending on the type of policy, you may be required to pay a minimum premium, or the premium may be fully "earned." In other instances, if you replaced your coverage with a different company, during the policy term, you may be subject to a "short-rate" penalty, which is usually about 10% of the unearned amount. You might also have some premium due for recent changes in coverage. The company should be able to provide a detailed billing history that explains the return-premium calculation.

Am I required to complete a medical questionnaire?
