Boyle's Law

Law of physics: volume of a gas varies as pressure varies, if temperature remains the same. Example: if absolute pressure is doubled on quantity of gas, volume is reduced one half. If volume becomes doubled, gas has its pressure reduced by half.
Boyle temperature: Temperature at which the seond viral coefficient of agas changes sign. Close to this temperature, Boyle's law provides a good approximation to the equation of state of the gas.
